I don't get this 'he is a good 3rd line player rubbish'. This is the Elite league, you need all your imports to be of a high enough standard to play on any given line on any given night. Three strong lines as a bare minimum is a must in this league or you get left behind, as we have in every season since taking up membership.
This wasn't a debate on Thinel over Rosehill, i just used those as an example of what we are missing from our line up and what we have in abundance. Look at it like this then Issacs or Rosehill. My point was if we had that real physical player it would have made a difference IMO to how this season has went.
As for the comment on Rosehill bringing nothing to a team that's just laughable. The guy is one of the best skaters in the league, hits like a train and can fight anyone. Has played forward and defence and was credited with being the clans best defenceman when he was back there (if I remember the purple army podcast guys right). If you don't see what he brings maybe you should take the flyers tinted glasses off and watch his game a bit more.
Totally agree, Rosehill will be very popular with his linemates, a real team player who is happy for others to express themselves and put up the numbers whilst he does the gritty stuff.
Cant wait to see Highlights as I saw the puck going in the net and out a red light from the goal judge and section D&E on there feet and section F very quiet and Paval playing on like he never noticed. it should have been 4-1
Definitely never crossed the line, hit the post then ran along the wrong side of the line for us.
Night got off to a perfect start when Halas forgot to take his skate guards off and fell all his length as he stepped onto the ice, priceless! Then at the end Finnerty showed his class once again by refusing to shake hands with the officials before throwing the 50/50 winners board on the floor when walking through the tunnel....1,2,3 aaawwww. In between this it was a decent game with Flyers fully deserved winners, a good 60 minute performance from the team, exactly what we will need to do in the two play off games to give us a chance of reaching the finals.
Great game last night and we were well worth the win. Yes Whistle was very poor but I'm sure Owen would be thinking he could have done better at 2 of the Giants goals. At 4 - 1 up Halas done his best to bring Giants back into the game by calling very soft penalties on us whilst missing 3 glaring penalties on them. When they scored 4 on the bounce to go 5 - 4 up I thought we were going to throw in the towel, but no, it was quite the opposite, we dug deep and scored 5 without reply. Kudos to Foxy for throwing some big hits. This was the gritty style of hockey we were promised at the start of the season, I only wish we had been served it up on a regular basis. Well done Flyers.
Owen Paquet, Moyer Dingle, Fox, Stockton, Sisca, Schaber From the other Gardiner teams, the players I would like to see in a Flyers shirt are D - Poulin ( Stars ) Erhardt, Johnson ( Storm ) F - Scarsella, Faryna ( Stars ) Vorobyev ( Caps ) Dzuirzynski Full time Brits ( aye right ! ) Paul Phillips ( Storm ) Moore ( Stars )
We never laid a glove on Devils for the first 40 mins, they bossed the corners with their physicality, they were simply too strong for us in these areas all game. The final period was much better, we were finishing our hits and we improved our puck retention. Phil Paquet fully deserved his mom award. Halas proved yet again he has no idea how to control a game, woeful. Todd really needs to get a new source for signing players, whoever described Cameron as a gritty player needs his head looked! It would be akin to describing Thinel as a speed merchant!
