Problem is Muir doesnt ever communicate with fans so we never get an explanation why we never sign tough guys, or why we have the type of team we do. And we can see that what TD and Hutchins say were getting is contradicted by the end product
Well im holding back renewing my season ticket and the people I sit beside have told me they are not renewing. How many other people must be doing the same. I certainly wont be committing to another season until I see the how committed the management are. They,re not just shooting themselves in the foot, they're committing suicide by this silence and inactivity.
Its because import numbers were lower that we had much better local players. They had the chance to thrive at the Flyers.A perfect example is Steven King who Doug Smail took under his wing and taught him so much, but there are loads of other examples, and all because the balance was right to give these players the chance to improve
The thing is when we were in the BNL we had sellout crowds against Murrayfield and big crowds against other teams (not Blackpool though) and we only had 3 imports, but the crowd had a team they could relate to. I think thats what we miss now, in my opinion obviously lol.
If Todd had the backing of the directors and knew he could replace underperforming players we wouldnt be in this state. The imports can put in as little effort as they like knowing tam muir isnt going to punt them. Job security regardless of results cant be the way to run a professional club in any sport
Why would the management be happy to only break even, they'd be gaining nothing, no financial reward and a duff team. Surely they'd have to either make decent profit, have a successful team or both to be worth their time and effort, they are fans too.
