Most likely against my better judgement just arrived in Dundee. It's difficult to see where a result is going to come from, with tonight being the third game of a three-game weekend - and also on the back of getting pumped at the shops on Friday and a tough home loss last night. Anyway we live in hope and updates will appear here later. Mon the Flyers!!
good to see a Flyers man through and through for better and worst just like a marriage Much as I love the Flyers after last night I just couldn't find the motivation to head over the Tay tonight Good luck SF and the Flyers
Curse of the 3 in 3 The end of the season can't come quick enough This team is full of talent but can't put it together from the last game to the next Zero points this weekend and nothing next weekend either
Listened to Todd's Post match interview and its hard to take what he says with any real credibility. We have heard the same or similar talk from him for years yet the same problems still exist.
Fife is a country club where players soon realise they can get away with things they wouldn't elsewhere. Todd seems to expect guys to act like pro's off their own back. Which is ideal in theory but the reality is young guys in their mid 20's getting paid decent cash and treated like hero's in Fife not to mention the attention they will receive. Will lead to some guys not being focused on the day job.
Its something that has gone on in Fife forever, the imports who have fallen foul of the culture here is a pretty big list.
We don't train our guys off ice we just expect them to do what is required. How many folk can do their job without the pressure from the boss or at least the consequence of not doing your job being there. Play badly you still get a game, screw up off ice you still get a game, don't train hard you still get a game. What was it Todd said a few season back "what am I supposed to do not play my imports".
He is a really nice guy but his reluctance to take a hard line with his players over the years has always been an issue- unless your a Brit that is!
The Club may have fined guys in the past we don't know this, you cant lay all this at Todds door its down to individuals to conduct themselves befitting of their position. You can tell during the interview that there will be ramifications for two issues and don't expect them to be broadcasted its between Employer and Employee. your also stereotyping Fife as a country Club not a fair comment. It was a great game last night shame you missed it
Murph is coming to end of career Whistle is young guy getting bled for full time starter He has to handle caldrons' like FIA Good experiance for him but not for league title Giants lost the plot in 3rd
I feel quite sorry for Todd. It must be so so SO frustrating for him. -as he said in his interview.. no system changes and no line changes. Just shows what happens in the space of 24 hours when the team decide to show up. Must be the most frustrating this in the world especially when he receives so much pressure and heat from fans. You can hear the frustration in his voice
Think there will be few guys getting the Hair Dryer over that picture in Kittys and something else that he doesn't want to go in to........ #Storm Gait
Captain Keefe wanting to fight that's because he was hurting inside and knows the hit a banana skin tonight for their title aspirations. Walser no happy either and benched Nickerson in 3rd as he let the Fox and the crowd get to him
Great result and 60 minutes of decent work rate from Flyers. First period Flyers deserved to go in on top. Second Belfast were far superior, but Flyers kept battling. When we went 4-5 down in the third I expected the tents to get folded, but Flyers grafted and fully deserved the win. Dingle and Brooks both had a great night and Moyer looked back to form after last Sunday's off night. Agree Whistle was poor, but most of Flyers' goals came from good passing moves. Likewise, couldn't work out why Isaacs was playing up front, leaving us playing with 5 D. No criticism of Isaacs though. He works his socks off every night.
Cameron wasn't playing that's why Issacs was back up front Wando has stepped up
That must be Giants heaviest defeat in the Elite league era cant think of another night that a team has put 9 past them and it could have been more if we had taken our chances We have seen the Jeckel and Hyde team that are Fife Flyers this weekend and indeed in this game the coaching staff and fans wanted a reaction after the abysmal showing last night we certainly got it in period 1 and 3. Flyers not only had to deal with the Giants but the officiating was as one sided tonight as you will ever see it. This ref is out his depth by a country mile he stopped the game in the 3rd when the puck went no higher than the plexi glass, the Giants first goal looked about 2 meters offside from where I was sitting. Foxy was getting right under Big Nickers skin and the bigman was taking the bait, special mention to Russ Moyer also that ENG put the final nail in Giants coffin but a great two period display from the guys tonight. the auld barn was jumping for a second Sunday in a row We need to bottle those 2 periods and take them to the shops next weekend The Giants are a good team and were sitting top of the league on Friday night a day off yesterday they came in tonight thinking easy two points.......Great win Flyers
